Visitors to Kerry are often surprised to find that they have arrived at one of the key points in one of the world’s longest and most spectacular driving routes. Winding its way along 2,500km of stunning coastal road from Kinsale in the south to Donegal in the north, the Wild Atlantic Way is longer than California’s Pacific Coast Highway or South Africa’s Garden Route. And, with Kerry Guided Tours, one of the most exciting sections of it is yours to explore.
Skirting the most breathtaking stretch of the Atlantic coast, the Wild Atlantic Way is something you can experience in a way that suits you. We will advise you on how best to incorporate the sights and experiences most important to you, based on your tastes and schedule.
Some 350km of the Wild Atlantic Way is set in Kerry. If you head in the direction of Killorglin and Castlemaine, you will reach the Dingle Peninsula, a particularly stunning section, where the route arcs around the most westerly point in Europe, Slea Head, with scenic gems including views of the Blasket Islands and the Skelligs.
Head in the opposite direction toward Kenmare and the southerly end of the Wild Atlantic Way. En route to the Irish foodie capital of Kinsale, you will encounter craggy peninsulas, atmospheric villages, and deserted beaches.
